This rod blank design dates back to around 2012 when McFarland Rod Co. first created this lay-up design . It got the name "Dirty Martini" from the glass material that was used to make the blank which had a slight olive-green tint similar to the colors of a "Dirty Martini". This blank was made with the same type of fiberglass material that was used in the 2012 creations. It has a great dry fly action displaying a smooth curve in both forward and back casts. A real pleasure for ultra-light fly fishing for trout!
